What's there left to wait for?

King For A Day of the Day: Actor Will Ferrell was picked to reign over New Orleans’ Krewe of Bacchus parade as King Bacchus XLIV this past Sunday.

According to z6mag, Ferrell is in Louisiana shooting a movie about local politics, and members of the King Bacchus selection committee approached his people with the offer to don the crown for their parade.

Ferrell, not one to turn down requests to do hyperlocal shtick, graciously accepted, and went on to distribute beads, doubloons, and mini cowbells to the commoners who gathered along Napoleon Ave.

In related news, NOLA is streaming today’s Rex parade, and you can watch the floats and festivities unfold here.
